New Module · Community & Wellness Check

Reach every member.
Never miss one who's struggling.

A dedicated USANotify module for churches, senior living communities, day programs, and care organizations. Send everyday updates to your whole congregation — and quietly check in on the members who live alone. If someone doesn't answer, or answers that they need help, the system reaches the people who can be there.

Two capabilities. One console.

Community communication and wellness care — from the same platform.

Most tools handle one or the other. Ours does both, so your team learns one console, your members save one number, and the same care that goes into a Sunday announcement goes into a Tuesday morning check-in.

Community Engagement

Reach the right group of members through the community app — Sunday updates, Bible study reminders, volunteer calls, weather closures, and interactive engagement your community actually responds to.

  • Messages — send to a single group, several, or the whole community
  • Polls — quick pulse-checks on service times, event topics, preferences
  • Event Notifications — service changes, gatherings, closures
  • Voting — formal decisions with tally and audit trail
  • Sign-Up Slots — volunteer shifts, meal trains, room reservations
  • Multi-tenant: one console runs many congregations or campuses

Wellness Check-Ins

Schedule friendly automated check-ins with members who live alone, are recovering, or simply appreciate a regular "how are you?" — delivered by phone call, SMS, or the app, with settings adjusted per member.

  • Voice, SMS, and app delivery — the only module here that speaks all three
  • Per-member configuration — schedule, channel, retry policy, quiet hours
  • Best-effort AI recognition of spoken answers; keypad option always available
  • Escalation to family, staff, or on-call responders when needed
  • Every outcome logged for audit, review, and reporting

How a check-in works

A friendly call. A recognized answer. A safety net that never sleeps.

Every check-in follows the same simple flow. What changes is how it ends — and the ending is what protects the person on the other side of the phone.

1
The call goes out
On the schedule your community sets — say, Tuesday and Friday at 10 AM. The member's own preferences apply: how many seconds to ring, keypad or voice, and whether the app reads it aloud.
2
A short, warm greeting
The member hears a familiar voice from their community. It asks how they're doing — and passes along the day's message if one is set.
"Hi Margaret, it's St. Mary's checking in. How are you today? And a reminder — coffee morning in the hall at 10, tomorrow."
They say they're OK
The AI does its best to interpret spoken answers, and the keypad option is always available as a fallback. When the response comes through as a clear positive, the check-in closes and the day moves on.
They don't answer, or they say they need help
The system tries again after a set interval. If nobody picks up, or the member asks for help, the flow keeps running — and this is where escalation begins.
Escalation reaches the right people
The member's escalation contacts — a son, a neighbor, the deacon on call — are texted or emailed. They know who is calling, why, and what the member last said. No panic. Just the right information, in the right hands, in minutes.
"St. Mary's wellness check: Margaret Ellis did not respond to her 10:00 AM check-in after 2 attempts. Last confirmed contact was Friday. Please check in on her when you can. Reply STOP to opt out."
What makes it safe

The safety net isn't the microphone. It's what happens next.

Members can answer by pressing a key or by speaking. Our AI listens and does its best to understand the response — but speech recognition is never perfect, and we don't treat it as if it were. What actually protects the person on the other end of the phone is what the system does when the answer isn't a clear "OK."

Silences, ring-offs, unclear responses, ambiguous speech, and any explicit request for help all keep the flow going instead of closing it out. The check-in isn't finished until a clear positive response is received or someone is reached through escalation. When in doubt, the system escalates — that's the design.

That's the mechanism a family can actually rely on: not a promise of perfect hearing, but a promise that a missing or unclear response won't be quietly filed as an all-clear.

  • Configurable retry policy — how many attempts, how long between them
  • Per-member escalation contacts — text, email, or both; individual quiet hours
  • Full audit trail — every check-in, every answer, every alert is stored and searchable
  • Opt-out safety — an "opt out" answer adds the member to the do-not-contact list immediately
  • App accessibility — for members with poor eyesight, check-ins can read themselves aloud
Community features

Everything a community needs to reach its people.

Community engagement lives in the member app — that's where your groups, your announcements, and your interactive tools all come together. Every congregation, senior residence, or day program has its own rhythm; the app gets out of the way and lets that come through.

  • Flexible member groups — Volunteering, Bible Study, Youth, Fundraising, Seniors. A member can belong to more than one. Send to a single group, several, or the whole community.
  • Five ways to engage — Messages, Polls, Event Notifications, Voting, and Sign-Up Slots. Pick the right format for what you're asking of your members.
  • Multi-community — Run many congregations or campuses under one console. Platform admins see everything; community admins are scoped to their own.
  • Member responses tracked — Sign-ups, votes, poll answers, and event RSVPs all show up in the console in real time.
  • Do-not-contact list — Any opt-out adds the member to the DNC and stops all future outbound. Automatic. Permanent until they ask back in.

Veteran & Recovery Support Networks

Weekly check-ins with participants, sponsors auto-notified if a check-in ends in an alert. A quieter kind of accountability.

Every detail matters

The whole console, feature by feature.

Member Profiles

Phone, separate SMS number, email, wellness check preferences, ring time, voice mode, app read-aloud — every setting a real member might need, adjusted individually.

Per-Member Wellness Config

Each member's wellness check-in is set individually — schedule (daily, weekly, custom), channel (voice/SMS/app), retry policy, and quiet hours. Community defaults apply until you override them.

Groups & Segments

Volunteering, Bible Study, Youth, Fundraising — any group that fits. Send targeted in-app content to one group or several at once.

Five Engagement Types

In the app: Messages, Polls, Event Notifications, Voting, and Sign-Up Slots. Each with its own template, response tracking, and results view.

Answer Recognition

Members answer by keypad or by speaking. Best-effort AI interprets speech; anything unclear or missing falls through to the escalation flow rather than closing as OK.

Daily Message

A line of news or encouragement threaded into every check-in. Drop {{daily_message}} into any template. Different message per day of week — or one for every day.

Escalation Contacts

Each member has their own list of people to reach if something's wrong — text, email, or both. In order, or all at once.

Reports & Exports

Filter by community, date range, or outcome (OK / help / not reached / escalated). Export summary or full detail as CSV.

Roles & Permissions

Platform admin, community admin, staff, and read-only roles. Community admins are scoped to their own community — no cross-visibility.
